Le 3 décembre 2013. Charte de la laïcité : bouffoneries politiques à l'université Concordia.

Message adressé au prof. Nora Jaffary du département d'histoire de l'université Concordia
Dear Prof. Jaffary,

This is my response to your "statement" published in today's Gazette.

You write: "Some students seem surprised. I’m not sure if they think this is what a professor should be doing, or if they believe that it is an inappropriate action for a non-Muslim. I suspect they are, understandably, more wary than my colleagues of entering into a political discussion with me about a matter that is not strictly academic.".

My own suspicion is that you are not likely to have any honest sign of disapproval from your students. After all, they are under duress: you grade them... University instructors have more coercive power than judges, police officers and jail guards: an academic record is for ever.

For my part, I am saddened to see a woman actively contributing to the oppression of other women. And, to top it all, you are a teacher of history... Jesus H. Christ...

Obviously, you are not a specialist of Middle Eastern history.

Compassionately yours,

LP
